National High School Federation Rules apply, except as noted below:
• Each game will have two 18-minute halves, with a running clock. Clock will stop for free throws and time-outs only. The clock will stop during the last two minutes of the game as in regulation play unless the point spread is 20 points or greater.
• Players must compete in their own grade classifications with the exception that players may play up in age group. Note: Players may play on one team only. Teams are gender-specific.
• All teams must have uniforms with visible numbers.
• The three-point line will be used if the floor is marked.
• Zone defenses and ½ court traps are prohibited in 4-6th grade. First offense will result in a warning and subsequent will be a technical foul. No defensive restrictions in the other divisions.
• Grades 4-6, full court press is only allowed in the last 2 minutes of the game, and only if the point spread is 20 points or less. Full court press is allowed in all other divisions with the same point restrictions.
• Substitutions on dead balls only. Please have your players report to the bench.
• Overtime periods will be 2 minutes, with the clock stopping as in regular play. Teams will be allowed 1 time-out during overtimes. If double overtime is required, it will be sudden death. First team to score WINS!.
• Teams are allowed 3 time-outs per game. They do not carry over into overtime.
• Game time is forfeit time. You may start the game with 4 players.
• There will be a 3-minute halftime, depending on schedule.
• MHSA foul and bonus situations apply.
• Tie-breakers in pool play and round robin will be point differential in pool.
• All teams are guaranteed three games. A bye or forfeit may count as a game.
• Roster changes will not be allowed after you have checked in for the tournament, and picked up your team packet.
• The gym supervisor must be notified of who is the responsible adult for each team. An adult, (18 or older) must sign the entry form, and an adult must be on the bench at all times.
• Each team must supply their own warm-up balls. Regulation boy’s and girl’s balls will be used for all age groups with the exception of 4th-6th grade boys, which will use a girls ball.
• Games will be played at Glasgow High School, Glasgow Middle School, the Glasgow Civic Center, St Raphael’s Gym and the Evangelical Church. A city map will be included in your team packets.
• Locker room space is not available. We recommend that you come to the gym ready to play.
